There is not additional course training needed to achieve Category IIx. Professionals that have successfully been certified to Category II, and can demonstrate they have acquired both knowledge and the appropriate practical experience of thirty-six (36) months corresponding to reliability engineering may qualify for the Category IIx certification level.
